Overview
West Virginia singer-songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin brings The Christian Name Tour to Royal Oak, with eastern Kentucky songwriter Nicholas Jamerson opening. Godwin’s story-driven songs center on home, family and hard-won reflection, rooted in the places and people of Appalachia. His albums Seneca, How the Mighty Fall and the 17-song Family Ties trace that personal songwriting across themes of upbringing, mortality and family. Jamerson, a founding member of the Kentucky duo Sundy Best, adds another Appalachian perspective to the bill.
