Overview
L7’s farewell run, The Last Hurrah Tour, brings the Los Angeles punk-grunge band to Detroit with Minneapolis punk trio VIAL on the bill. Founded by guitarists and vocalists Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner, L7 made its mark with a hard-edged sound and a sharp, irreverent streak. The 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy delivered the alternative-radio hit “Pretend We’re Dead,” alongside bruising tracks “Shitlist” and “Wargasm.” Janis Tanaka returns on bass for the tour.
