Overview
Detroit-rooted band The Goddamn Gallows forged a raucous strain of punk that folds in rockabilly, psychobilly, bluegrass and metal. Their shifting lineup and unusual instrumentation—including banjo, accordion and washboard—helped earn the sound the nickname “hobocore.” At Small’s, the band brings songs spanning its catalog, from the early “Gutterbillyblues” and “Ghost of th’ Rails” to the harder-edged The Trial. Look for favorites such as “7 Devils,” “The End of the World” and “Pass the Bottle.”
