Overview
Toronto’s instrumental quartet The Surfrajettes pair reverb-soaked surf guitar with psychedelic-rock color and a sharply retro visual style. Their playful reinventions helped them find a wider audience: their 2018 single “Party Line / Toxic” featured a surf-rock take on Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” while their debut album, Roller Fink, brought together originals and unexpected covers, including “Heart of Glass.” The Hamtramck bill also features The Custodians, making this a two-act night centered on the Surfrajettes’ instrumental surf sound.
