A long-standing warm-weather tradition in Detroit, the Whitney Garden Parties invite guests to enjoy an evening of live entertainment in a historic outdoor setting. This year’s series promises an expanded lineup and a fresh addition of Sunday programming designed to enhance the summer experience.
Julianne Ankley is a soulful Americana artist blending Blue Country and Roots influences with vivid storytelling from her Michigan hometown near Lake Huron. A 2026 and 2025 Michigan Music Award winner for Best Americana Single and 14-time Detroit Music Award recipient, she’s known for heartfelt songs like “What Makes You Dance” and “The Ghost of the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse.” With four albums, national TV appearances, and performances at places such as Nashville’s Bluebird Café, Julianne continues to connect deeply with audiences. Her latest single and video, “Polar Train,” is out now everywhere.
