10 Top Small Venues in Oakland County

Oakland County is home to many venues perfect for hosting special events and business gatherings.

The county’s close proximity to downtown Detroit and Detroit-Wayne Metropolitan Airport makes it attractive for out-of-towners and even locals who are looking for a unique space to gather.

Visit Detroit gathered some of the best venues that are suitable for 200 people or less in one of Metro Detroit’s most picturesque counties.

  • The Longacre House is owned and operated by the City of Farmington Hills and offers charm and elegance with a beautiful running stonewall fence and lush gardens. The venue seats up to 150 people and is best known for weddings, commitment ceremonies, and other non-traditional events. It features a ballroom, a park, and a catering and event planning service and staff.
  • Reflections Event Space is an independently-owned event venue with locations in both Pontiac and Detroit. The venue has strong relationships with event planners, decorators, and other partners—including Eleven 21 Mixology.

  • Great Lakes Culinary Center is an extraordinary venue that accommodates 150 guests in its beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.

  • The Iroquois Club with space for 15-200 guests this venue boasts a talented staff of culinary creatives, dedicated managers, and expert event planners to help plan your event from start to finish. The venue features a unique exterior complete with Michigan hardwood and several beautiful interior rooms including a magnificent Great Room.

  • 2GatherMore is an upscale, modern space that is flexible to suit the needs of the event. This venue has an open vendor policy that allows you to curate your day. A relatively newly opened venue in Auburn Hills, 2Gather has a dedicated staff that manages the space and the beautiful grounds.

  • Planterra Conservatoryis a botanical venue that provides service in-house in an awe-inspiring space where guests will be surrounded by plants. The Bloomfield Hills venue has a dedication to sustainability and locally-inspired flavors in its food and beverage program. Planterra has been ranked by Harper’s Bazaar as one of the most beautiful garden wedding venues in the world.

  • San Marino Club features several rooms and has a large flexible space that is perfect for any type of personal or corporate event. The venue has in-house services and packages that make planning easy. San Marino also offers a number of very excellent amenities like chocolate fountains and ice carving.

  • Regency Manor & Banquet Centerwas designed with high ceilings, magnificent crystal chandeliers, two full bars, and more than 7,000 Sq. Ft of distinctive elegance. The venue has the capacity to host smaller events with a private lower-level space that offers full amenities. The venue also has an admirable catering service that can accommodate social & corporate events alike.

  • Skyline Club is a private venue where business professionals gather for events and social gatherings. Members have access to the industry-leading Invited Network of hundreds of country and business clubs nationwide. Plus, special offerings at more than 1,000 hotels, resorts and entertainment venues.

  • Pine Knob Mansion is a historic venue with a maximum capacity of 150 guests. The beautiful space features unique touches including stone walls hung with swords and shields, lavish chandeliers, and carved wood paneling. The location has several other locations including the larger Carriage House and extraordinary grounds.
