If you’re looking for an authentic Detroit brewery, look no further than Atwater Brewery near the Detroit riverfront.

A German-style lager house in the heart of The D, Atwater Brewery serves classic beers like the Dirty Blonde and unique brews that have taken on a cult following, like the Vanilla Java Porter. The brewery also has a Grosse Pointe Park and a Grand Rapids location.

Atwater Brewery has a rooftop patio for the summer months in downtown Detroit. Their location in Grosse Pointe, Atwater in the Park, has a spacious outdoor biergarten which is perfect for after work happy hours. As for the Atwater Brewery menu, they make classic, affordable food for the blue collar worker and fun twists on food that you traditionally eat with beer (like pretzels). With Dirty Blonde mustard and beer cheese dip

Tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella, EVOO and five cheese blend

The Brews

Whango Mango Wheat
German Pale Wheat malt lends this clean offering a lightly citric crispness at the back of the palate. The addition of real mango adds a soft, sweet roundness to the body and natural mango flavoring lifts the aroma to match.

Vanilla Java Porter
With a beautifully crafted, copper cored English Style Porter at its heart, Atwater’s Vanilla Java Porter tips its hat to the modern audience with the addition of vanilla and a specialty coffee.

Dirty Blonde
Dirty Blonde is brewed to be a bright straw color, lightly sweet, with wheat added to create a crispness at the back of the palate. Crushed Orange Peel and Coriander are subtly added to the final stage of the hot side, which lend to the clean head aroma.

Street Artist
A careful combination of Citra hops with tropical citrus notes, and a beautifully balanced grape flavor from the Hallertau Blanc hops creates a cloudy golden hue to be enjoyed by all.

Voodoo Vater
VooDoo Vator Dopplebock tempers the sweetness of caramel malt with the crisp, more nutty flavor of Munich malt.
