Hines Park
Hines Park spans 17 miles across several cities throughout Wayne County, including Westland, Wayne, Plymouth, Northville and Livonia.
WIthin the park, there are smaller parks that have everything someone could want. They include dog parks, swings, playgrounds, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a bike park, remote control car track and more.
Huron-Clinton Metroparks
There are four different Metroparks in Wayne County: Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown Township; Oakwoods Metropark and Willow Metropark in New Boston; and Lower Huron Metropark in Belleville.
There are so many activities at the different Metroparks, including hiking, biking, fishing, golf, playground picnic areas and more.
Elizabeth Park in Trenton
Sitting along the Detroit River south of Detroit, Elizabeth Park is 162 acres and one mile around. It has a walking path that includes workout stations along the path, 1,300 feet of riverwalk for fishing and river watching, sport fields, playgrounds, horseback riding and more.
Heritage Park in Taylor
Located just a few miles off of I-75, Heritage Park in Taylor is a massive park with fun for everybody. There’s a village with historic buildings, a fishing pond, hiking trails, baseball and softball diamonds, playgrounds and more. You can also check out the petting zoo and an arboretum while you’re at the park!
Plymouth Township Park
One of the largest parks in Plymouth, the Plymouth Township Park has a variety of hiking trails, a massive play structure for kids, a pond for fishing, baseball diamonds and even a splash pad for kids in the summer.
Ford Field Park in Dearborn
There are things to do in every season at Ford Field Park. The park offers views of the Rouge River and connects to the River Gateway Trail for hiking, biking or walking.
There are also tennis courts, ball fields, sledding hills and picnic shelters if you’re hosting a large group.
Bicentennial Park and Nature Preserve in Livonia
This park is the largest in the City of Livonia and includes an entire golf course and a recreation area. At the park you’ll find a walking path, a ply area, fitness equipment, baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, shuffleboard courts and a dog park.
Heritage Park in Canton
Heritage Park is another large park with different pavilions that are available for rent, plus plenty of activities. Those include athletic fields, walking paths and tracks, beach volleyball courts, playgrounds, a splash pad and more.
