If you find yourself in Macomb County this winter, you may want to try some of these fun winter activities. From cozy date nights to family fun, you will be sure to find the perfect winter fun activity!

Lake St. Clair Metropark

Check out Lake St. Clair Metropark for plenty of winter fun activities. Lake St, Clair Metropark has sledding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and plenty of hiking trails to explore this winter. This is the perfect spot to visit if you find yourself more south in Macomb County and want to spend the day out in nature. There is a small fee to enter the park if you do not have a pass.

Stoney Creek Metropark

Finding yourself a little more north in the Shelby Township area? Check out Stoney Creek Metropark! Home to sledding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, and hiking, you will be sure to find some exciting winter fun activities here! Take the family, and the dog, on this winter day trip getaway. There is a small fee to enter the park without a pass.

Filipo Marc Winery

After you check out some of the many outdoor activities here in Macomb County, visit Filipo Marc Winery for a wine tasting! Filipo Marc Winery is perfect for a winter date out with your loved one. This winery has over 70 different types of wines including Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, and White Zinfandel. Stopping at Filipo Marc Winery is sure to be a rounded and enriching experience.

Sterling Heights Nature Center

Looking to stay warm? Visit the Sterling Heights Nature Center and learn all about nature and animals. This is a great winter activity for families to get out and explore. The Sterling Heights Nature Center houses reptiles, and amphibians, and houses an aquarium exhibit that showcases local fish.

Burgess-Shadbrush Nature Center

If you’re near Shelby Township, check out the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center. The Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center offers a variety of family-friendly winter activities including guided hikes, Storytime, weekly home-school activities, and special winter events. Visit their website for more information on the schedule of events. The nature center also provides snow show rentals!

New Baltimore Lions Winterfest

Held from February 23 to 26 2023, the New Baltimore Lion’s Winterfest is filled with family-friendly activities such as a cornhole tournament and family day held on the 25th. There are also adult-geared activities such as a polar plunge and the Blood Mary Bar. If you’re in the area, the New Baltimore Lion’s Winterfest will be sure to entertain! Tent admission is free all day before 5 pm and on Sunday.

Romeo Community Center

The Romeo Community Center offers an ice rink and sledding hill. Located in northern Macomb County, the Romeo Community Center is perfect if you find yourself looking for family fun in a small town. Romeo is home to many shops and restaurants, so once you’ve finished with your outdoor fun, you can visit some of the small shops and local restaurants in the area!

Civic Ice Arena

Visit Civic Ice Arena in Saint Clair Shores! Civic Ice Arena hosts adult, parent & tot, and hockey open skates. Don’t have your own skates? Civic Ice Arena has rentals available. Whether you are looking for a fun date night or a family fun activity, Civic Ice Arena is perfect for a winter day out.

The Old Fashioned Gentleman

If you need to warm up, stop by Thee Old Fashioned Gentleman Coffee for a warm signature latte or mocha! Located on Schoenherr Road, you can find lots of tasty treats, coffees, and hot chocolates for the kids at Thee Old Fashioned Gentleman. This is spot is perfect for winding down after a morning of winter activities.

Blakes Farm Igloo Dining

Visit Blakes Farm for some winter fun in Macomb County. Blake’s Cider Mill is open year-round, but they also offer igloo dining at their restaurants in Armada and Almont. Blake’s Igloo dining offers a fun winter experience by dining outside in the warmth of a beautiful igloo. Igloo dining starts at a $100 minimum Monday-Thursday and a $250 minimum Friday-Sunday. There is also a $10 booking fee. This is a unique experience you’ll be sure to never forget!
