Overview
The Detroit Cultural Center Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening, connecting, and promoting Detroit’s Cultural Center — one of the nation’s leading cultural districts. Located in Midtown Detroit, the Cultural Center is home to world-class museums, educational institutions, libraries, galleries, historic spaces, and cultural organizations that collectively welcome millions of visitors each year.
The Association works in partnership with the district’s institutions to advance the long-term vision for the Cultural Center, support collaborative programming, improve the visitor experience, and promote the district as a vibrant destination for arts, culture, education, and public life. Its work includes stewardship of the Cultural Center Planning Initiative, district-wide marketing and communications, public programming, visitor resources, shared services, data and impact reporting, and infrastructure improvements such as wayfinding and public Wi-Fi.
Through collaboration, planning, and advocacy, the Detroit Cultural Center Association helps ensure that the Cultural Center remains an accessible, welcoming, and dynamic place for residents, students, educators, families, and visitors from across the region and beyond.
