Overview

First Light Roasters is a specialty coffee roastery in Livonia, Michigan, and the largest Black-owned coffee roastery in the state. From its 8,000-square-foot roasting facility, First Light produces freshly roasted single-origin coffees, signature blends, and custom wholesale coffee programs for cafés, restaurants, hospitality partners, offices, and businesses throughout Metro Detroit and beyond.

East African coffees are at the heart of First Light's roasting program, with a focus on origin, freshness, clarity, and consistency. The roastery also features an on-site café where visitors can experience coffees roasted just steps from where they are served.

First Light Roasters brings together commercial coffee roasting, specialty coffee craftsmanship, and a welcoming public coffee experience in Metro Detroit.
