Overview

Hockeytown Cafe opened on Oct. 14, 1999, on the former site of Hughes Hatcher Suffrin, a men’s clothing store that had occupied the corner since 1911. Created by Red Wings owner Mike Ilitch, the cafe celebrates Detroit hockey with great food and a lively atmosphere.
The three-story venue features more than 30 TVs, vintage motorcycles, private event spaces, and Detroit Red Wings and Tigers memorabilia. It can host groups of up to 500 indoors and 1,000 with the outdoor patio. Hockeytown Cafe is also home to Sound Space Detroit and Mic Drop Comedy.
