Overview
“Skanka” put UK producer and DJ Hamdi on the wider bass-music map, driven by a shuffling, garage-rooted groove and a weighty dubstep drop. At Lincoln Factory, he shares the bill with Ahadadream, the British-Pakistani DJ and producer whose club sound draws on UK funky and South Asian influences—making this a pairing of two distinct strands of UK-rooted dance music. Hamdi’s “Counting,” featuring Princess Superstar, and “Push,” made with Skrillex, TAICHU and OFFAIAH, offer further snapshots of his range.
