Detroit’s seafood restaurants are gaining national acclaim. With access to the freshest freshwater fish from the Great Lakes and creative twists on traditional dishes, Detroit’s seafood scene is dying to be explored. Harbor House

Joe Muer Seafood

Known for fresh, artfully prepared seafood, Joe Muer is a must-try for seafood in metro Detroit. Award-winning views and service make it a favorite of many. This upscale seafood restaurant is located in the GM Renaissance Center, and there is also a location in West Bloomfield. It’s right on the river with beautiful views of Canada making the dining experience even more memorable. Crab House is a no-frills setting with great seafood and soul food. The restaurants has ribs, southern style boils, scratch-made Alfredo, shrimp and more.
Try This: Crab leg dinner — you choose southern-style grilled or fried and it comes with garlic potatoes, corn on the cob and their famous boiled egg.

Sindbads Restaurant and Marina

Keeping Detroit in seafood since 1949, Sindbads Restaurant and Marina is known for excellent views of the marina and delicious seafood. Sindbads has a long tradition of great service in the area. It’s the type of restaurant that keeps fans coming back decade after decade.
Try This: Go for the Fresh Great Lakes Perch and add a cup of Clam Chowder as a side. Round out the meal with a slice of Key Lime Pie.
